CANDICE HABERSHON
I’m a yoga teacher and writer living in South East London. I taught myself to read at the age of four and haven’t put down a book since. This passion for the written word led to a career first in advertising, then in journalism – which I found both thrilling and soul-destroying. Celebrity door knocks were not for me! Yoga entered my life when I was working for The Sunday Times Magazine and I immediately found it a soothing antidote to the fast-paced and competitive world I was working in. I loved the way it could get me out of my frazzled, over-thinking mind and into my body. In fact, I loved it so much that many years later I decided to teach it. These days, I continue to write about things that matter to me, like inspiring stories of how people have overcome adversities. But now I also teach people how to overcome adversities themselves, using their bodies and breath.
